To power a world worth inheriting – that’s why First Light Fusion was founded in 2011.
Our aim has always been to achieve fusion by the simplest means possible. For us, that means taking the complexity out of the machine and building it into the fuel system. Fifteen years later, that aim still guides us today.

Our People
First Light brings together physicists, engineers, experimentalists and manufacturing specialists, alongside experienced people from business, research and industry.
It’s a rare mix. Deep scientific expertise, paired with the practical know-how to model, design, build, test and prove technology under the most extreme conditions.
