Pulsed Power Technician

First Light Fusion are seeking to recruit a Pulsed Power Technician to expand its specialist team of technicians.
We are looking for someone with strong mechanical assembly experience who can assemble, strip down and re-assemble sophisticated experimental equipment.

Essential

  • The Ability to build complex assemblies accurately
  • Using torque wrenches to fix and assemble machinery
  • Working to tight tool room tolerances
  • Basic pipework skills
  • Ability to identify, report and replace worn parts and seals through visual inspection
  • Ability to communicate and liaise with Design and Engineering teams to raise issues where you can see potential areas of concerns

Desirable

  • Good knowledge of manufacturing methods
  • Good background in Engineering with preferably an apprenticeship behind you
  • A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Flexible, with a good attitude to work
  • Being highly motivated, confident and organized with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb technical information quickly and being able to perform tasks whilst under pressure
  • PC Literate
  • Good Level of numeracy and literacy
